Drilling & Machining

At B & B Manufacturing, we are a full-service manufacturer and offer drilling and milling as part of our comprehensive lineup of services.

We can manage the fabrication of your parts and assemblies from start to finish. Our facility is equipped with the tools and machinery needed to carry out a selection of machining processes that are often required to complete a sheet metal part. In addition to two Bridgeport mills, our shop equipment includes a tapping arm and drill press. With this machinery available in-house, we keep production all under one roof, giving us tight control of quality and cost.

We specialize in countersinking, tapping, and accurately drilling tiny holes, even those located near bends.  With our 3-axis milling, tapping, and drilling equipment, we can machine surfaces and slots, create radius and chamfered edges, and form internal and external threads. Our capabilities also include reaming, counterboring, and pocketing.

With these machining processes in our drilling and milling arsenal, we can produce sheet metal fabrications with a range of detailed features. If custom fixtures or tooling is needed to perform these operations accurately, we have the capacity to build that in-house as well.

Our milling and drilling capabilities apply to a range of metals, including alloy steel, aluminum, copper, and stainless steel. With our detail-oriented and skilled production staff, we uphold tolerances as close as ±.002”. In addition to drilling and milling, we also offer services such as welding, assembly, heat treating, plating, passivation, and chromating. We have the flexibility to process jobs very quickly – our typical lead times are just two to three weeks.
